I have never truly considered myself a blogger. I refrain from calling myself a writer as well because I know that I am not a good one.
Lately I have been missing Tumblr. Well actually, that feeling comes often and frequently. I miss the kind of posts that Tumblr users created. I miss the poetry, the stories, the pieces written with so much genuine feelings and emotions. Oftentimes raw and burning with passion. I miss the community and the people that I’ve met in that platform too. Artists and dreamers.
I regret it but unfortunately I have deleted my old literary blog (Tumblr account). I posted there a lot from 2012 until 2013. Mostly prose and poetry that are cringe-worthy to be honest, still I wish I at least archived or saved the pieces I had written.
Compared to the things I write at present, those are a bit more abstract I would say. They’re more descriptive and rhythmic. Was I more creative and imaginative then? I can’t say, it’s just that it’s easier for me to write about my personal experiences now. I miss writing poetry though.
I don’t know where I am going with this post lol. I’m frustrated. So I’ll just write about my travel plans.
I’m going back to Thailand in 3 weeks. I’m excited and also scared.
It has been more than a year since I have been to Thailand. I cannot wait to have Pad Thai and Thai Milktea. I also want to try more Thai food since I was not able to try that much before.
I want to learn how to speak and understand Thai so I could communicate better with the locals and be able to listen to their stories. I want to start a new photo series too but I have not given it much thought yet as well. Is it obvious now that I do not really plan my travels through? Haha!
I just go with whatever’s in front of me and decide spontaneously. It’s a hassle at times but it has also paved the way for some amazing experiences I could not have possibly known or had by simply Googling.
In January, I plan on leaving yet again. No concrete plans still but I am definitely visiting a few countries I have not been to before. I badly want to go back to Japan too but I will have to see if I could. I could travel for 2 to 3 weeks or more in less expensive countries with a week’s worth of traveling in Japan.
Clearly, this entry has no direction AT ALL HAHA. When I talk about travel I just go on and on. OK. That’s all for now! Hopefully I could keep this up and be more consistent in writing and posting.
Where to next? Help me decide which new places to visit!
